Determined to remind his family that they all need to be together, Lincoln and his best friend Clyde McBride embark on a mission to preserve the family’s holiday traditions. The series was first announced on March 24, 2022,[3] alongside the announcement of the animated series being renewed for a seventh season. Kenya's film and classification board (KFCB) has called for the suspension of several US-produced children's programs running on channels provided by TV company MultiChoice.

Lincoln confesses the truth to everyone that he didn't want his family to be apart on Christmas. His family forgives him with his parents admitting that no Christmas tradition can be broken. After the sisters begin to get attention in the village, Morag tricks Lincoln into riding Lela to try to get back his attention.

The board said the cartoons featured "disturbing content glorifying homosexual behavior" which was not suitable for children. The series debuted on Nickelodeon on May 2, 2016, with new episodes premiering every weekday that month.[21] The first trailer for the series premiered on March 13, 2016.[22] The series also aired on AFN Family. A Loud House Christmas follows Lincoln Loud (Schaeffer) as he gears up for the ultimate Christmas, until he finds out that most of his sisters have plans to be elsewhere for the big day.

There, the Loud sisters are praised by fans while Lincoln is pushed to the side and ignored. Feeling that he is living in their shadows, he consults his friend Clyde McBride, who tells him about the time he learnt his grandmother's side of the family was from Paris. Outside of the fact that Lana and Lola have grown in their two top teeth, Clyde is returning from 3 weeks from French camp as Lincoln plans to pack in a full time of summer in one day.

The Really Loud House[1][2] is an American live-action series for Nickelodeon, based on the animated series. Like its parent series, it follows a boy named Lincoln, who lives at home with his ten sisters, Lori, Leni, Luna, Luan, Lynn, Lucy, Lana, Lola, Lisa, and Lily. In this fairy tale, Lincoln learns from Charlie that her family is about to move back to Tennessee, so he decides to get her the Everlasting Emerald to remember him by.

News of the series comes after the launch of the live-action movie, “A Loud House Christmas,” back in November. The Loud children head back to the town on a rowboat and team up to defeat Morag and un-hypnotize Lela. The sisters eventually get the scepter back and Lincoln, using his magic skills and with help from Lily, destroys the Dragon Stone, which breaks Lela out of her spell. The citizens of Loch Loud congratulate the family and ask Lincoln to resume his place as the duke of the kingdom, though Lincoln declines and instead offers the crown to Angus instead, feeling he deserves it more. This decision is approved by the citizens and the other ghosts of the Loud ancestors.

Lincoln admits to the family he wishes he were special as his sisters, though his sisters tell him that he is special because he takes care of them, and the family happily hugs. Inspired, Lincoln asks his parents the same question and Lisa manages to trace Lynn Sr.'s heritage to Scotland. The Loud family then heads to Scotland for a week-long vacation on a hectic trip involving parachuting from a cargo hold, flying in a hot air balloon, and traveling in a submarine.

The two end up in trouble with Police Chief Wellington who ends up dragging them on a ride-along that involves going after the dairy kingpin Milkshake Marty and his Custard Gang when they hijack Auntie Pam's ice cream truck. Lola and Lucy get trapped in the basement with a supposed half-goat half-serpent Mesopotamian monster from one of the horror movies they were watching there as everyone else starts getting locked in the basement with them one by one. On September 4, 2022, the series title was revealed to be The Really Loud House, and it was also revealed that it would be released that November.[1] It was also announced that the premiere would move from Paramount+, as had been announced upon the greenlight of the series, to Nickelodeon.

Production of the series for Nickelodeon Studios is overseen by Phelan and Zack Olin, co-Heads of Nickelodeon & Awesomeness Live-Action. Jessica Brown serves as Nickelodeon’s executive in charge of production for the series. The film's soundtrack was released on the same day the film was released, August 20. The themes by Christopher Lennertz and the official music by Phillip White, it features many songs sung by Oh, Hush! As the Louds adjust to their discovery while experiencing the ghost of their descendant Lucille Loud, a baby dragon who grows very fast whenever she eats that they name Lela, and enjoying their time in the castle, Morag becomes frustrated with the family after living in the castle peacefully and quietly for many years. She then devises a plan like her ancestor Aggie to get the family to leave Loch Loud forever by hypnotizing Lela with a magic gemstone known as the Dragon Stone and the royal scepter.

Lincoln eventually learns from Angus that his own ancestral counterpart, the Duke of the family, was the most special member of the family, much to his delight. Lincoln and his best friend Clyde make a plan on how to get the family together for Christmas. They make Lori homesick, fool Luna into thinking that Mick wants to jam with her, build a Sharkodile out of Clyde's family's film props, and disguise themselves as elderly people at the Sunset Canyon Retirement Home to pull off pranks enough for Pop-Pop to cancel Luan's gig. Later on, while getting ready for the tree-lighting ceremony, Lincoln finds that he only made things worse for the family, having accidentally sprayed Lisa's custom-built Sharkodile repellent on Lynn Sr. causing him to not see straight, lose balance, and have unintelligible speech.

The 84th Annual Royal Woods Kids Have Talent Competition is occurring as the Loud family works to beat the Torkelson family who have beaten them many times. To pull it off, Lincoln and Clyde help Lincoln's sisters through their different problems which goes well. Lincoln occasionally breaks the fourth wall to explain to the viewers the chaotic conditions and sibling relationships of the household, and continually devises plans to make his life in the Loud House better. The Loud House debuted on Nickelodeon in May 2016 and centers on 11-year-old Lincoln Loud and his 10 sisters as he gives an inside look at what it takes to survive the chaos of a huge family. One of the longest-running animated series on Nickelodeon with 156 episodes, the property has also been translated into a comic book series, which continues to roll out new stories; chapter books; a digital album; and a podcast, Listen Out Loud. A spin-off, entitled The Casagrandes, was put into development by Nickelodeon in March 2018. Lincoln Loud, the middle child and only son of Lynn Loud Sr. and Rita Loud, spends his time assisting his sisters—Lori, Leni, Luna, Luan, Lynn, Lucy, Lana, Lola and Lisa—as they go about their day-to-day duties, while also teaching his youngest sister Lily how to cope with living in a large family. After a particularly successful day in which the sisters all win awards, they celebrate at Lynn Sr.'s restaurant.

After answering Lori's phone where Taylor is on the other side, Lynn fakes getting a higher score at the Green Tee Golf Course to reignite Lori's competitive fire so that she can beat Taylor. Rita finds a free massage ticket in the laundry that will expire soon and has to put her plans for it aside when Leni can't find her sunglasses. Lynn Loud Sr. and Rita Loud go to the parent-teacher conferences where they promise to order them an ice cream special called Auntie Pam's Banana Split in a Canoe if there are more good reviews than bad. They go back and forth between the schools to hear each of the teachers' reviews. When each of the sisters are divided by positive reviews and negative reviews, Lincoln works to get his essay in to Mr. Bolhofner so that his decision can make the deciding vote.

Pappas Seafood House Pappas Restaurants

The restaurant is also keen on providing a pleasant drinking experience, with Pappas’ wine director Robert Smith and bar manager Oliver Brooks curating a beverage menu with lighter wines and bright cocktails that pair well with the seafood-focused menu. “One of the best parts of growing up in a coastal town is sitting outside with a container of crab, a pack of saltines, drinking beer in a plastic cup,” Ryczek says. “Obviously, our presentation is more refined.” Those seeking to imbibe can take pleasure in the champagne and white wines from Europe and the U.S., but Smith insists that there will be something for red wine lovers, too — with light to medium reds such as New World Pinot Noir and Burgundy. Cocktails will include aperitivo spirits and Brooks’s riff on a Garibaldi spritz that uses cappelletti, clarified carbonated orange juice, curacao, and vermouth. Sourcing locally will be a huge mission of the restaurant, with the Pappas company using their own boats to locally catch featured fish, including snapper, Grouper, and tilefish. Ryczek, who worked for years with the California Caviar Company, is also taking Little’s caviar service very seriously and will be using the six California white sturgeon he’s harvested since October to provide the caviar for the restaurant.

Three styles of caviar will be served by the ounce, including a house caviar, Kaluga, and Osetra. Pappas Seafood House has been serving generous portions of delicious Gulf Coast seafood since 1981. Descending from a long line of Greek fishermen, owners Chris and Harris Pappas pull from these deep roots to provide their Guests the highest quality seafood available. To do that, we ship in the freshest catch daily and pride ourselves in only serving the best.

Pappas’ in-house design team has renovated the space, creating a sleek and modern decor with gold accents and contrasting colors that welcome 80 people indoors and 50 on its patio. Those seeking to revel in some nostalgia can take in the subtle nods to the original Little Pappas Seafood House location, which opened in 1987. The repainted vintage sign hangs on the outside, while indoors prints of chef Zycek’s sketches of his dishes are framed on the entrance walls, guiding guests to the oyster bar, past the banquettes, tables, and millwork that stay true to the Pappas’ style. Chef Jason Ryczek, a California native, is leading the charge, with a menu created with an emphasis on catches from the Gulf and other thoughtfully sourced seafood.

The Dancing House: A Must-See Architectural Marvel in Prague

dancing house

The Dancing House, located in Prague, Czech Republic, is a unique and iconic architectural masterpiece that has become a symbol of the city’s modern architecture. Designed by renowned architects Frank Gehry and Vlado Milunić, the building stands out among the traditional Baroque and Gothic architecture that Prague is known for. With its distinct appearance and unconventional design, the Dancing House has become a popular tourist attraction and a symbol of Prague’s transformation after the Velvet Revolution. The bank got in touch with the architect, V. Milunic, to ask him to invite a world-famous architect to participate in the project. Milunic first contacted the French architect, Jean Nouvel, who turned down the project due to its small surface area (491m²).

Symbolically, the two sections represent both static and dynamic energy meant to honor Czechoslovakia’s transition from a communist state to parliamentary democracy. Deconstructivist architecture, which is used in the Dancing House, is a form of postmodernism that celebrates dissonance. Deconstructivism, also referred to as new baroque, resulted in architecture that seemed “deconstructed” and disjointed. The phrase was coined to indicate a rejection of the Russian Constructivist ideology. Harmony, clear forms, and consistent textures are all things that should be avoided in deconstructivist design.

Among the predominantly art nouveau, baroque, and classical architecture of Prague is the unusually designed Dancing House. A short list of the Dancing House’s more prominent structural features follows. The building’s distinctive undulating form has earned it the moniker “Fred and Ginger,” after the renowned dancing duo Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers. There are office spaces, a high-end hotel, and an eatery named Ginger & Fred’s on the structure’s nine above-ground stories. The Dancing House holds a significant place in Prague’s history and cultural transformation. The building was completed in 1996, just a few years after the Velvet Revolution, which marked the end of communist rule in Czechoslovakia.

The second structure extends parallel to the river, on three sturdy pillars, and is characterised by the undulating mouldings of its façade and the incoming and outgoing windows distributed non-linearly. The sinuous mouldings of the façade made the perspective more ambiguous, tempering the contrast with the neighbouring buildings. Behind the twisted façade there are relatively simple floors, based on a conventional connection of leaseable space, organised around a core of circulation in an L-shape. The Nationale Nederlanden building, known as the “Dancing House” or sometimes “Fred and Ginger”, is one of the most significant landmarks in Prague and definitely the most internationally renowned piece of post-1989 Czech architecture. It is home to almost 3000 square meters of office premises, a restaurant, a gallery, and a conference centre.

Part of the interiors of the building were designed by the British architect of Czech origin, Eva Jiřičná. The design tools and technique used on this building served as a test for future processes that Gehry would use in all his projects, including the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao. The use of curves in the building imitates the aerodynamic form of planes and sports cars. The software which his company developed was later used to design French aircraft. With its clear-cut deconstructivism and unusual form, the style of the headquarters of the Nationale-Nederlanden is considered by the designers of architecture to be “new-barroque”.

As you delve into the intricate details of the Dancing House’s façade, you’ll find yourself pondering the larger narrative of architectural history. The interplay of materials, textures, and spatial arrangements embodies the essence of architectural discourse that has spanned ten centuries. Protests against the government escalated after the collapse of the Wall of Berlin when Václav Hável peacefully toppled the Czechoslovak Communist Party and set up a federal-style republic known as the Velvet Revolution.

The closest subway is the metro line B (yellow color) – Karlovo náměstí station. You can find the connection on the DPP (Public Transportation of Prague) website. The Dancing House is located at Jiráskovo náměstí (Jirásek Square) in Prague, just 220 m from the nearest metro station. In the same year Dancing house won the prestigious prize of the American Times magazine in the category “Design of the Year”.

Due to the destruction of that building, after the war, it was decided to construct a new and modern building to replace it. First, the project was proposed to Jean Nouvel but he rejected it because of the size of the site. Later, Frank Gehry took the project and designed this unique building with architect Vlado Milunić.

The building’s design is said to be reminiscent of the couple’s elegant and graceful dance moves. The nickname “Fred and Ginger” is often used to refer to the building, further emphasizing the connection to the iconic dancers. For the building parallel to the river, they used concrete panels in 99 different shapes and dimensions. At the inauguration, a sculpture, Medusa, was placed on top, made of metal tubes and covered with stainless steel wire mesh.

At that point a single terrace juts out and hangs onto the concrete tower. The volume is supported on a small forest of inclined columns- metaphorical legs which appear from under Ginger’s skirts and mark the entrance to the building. The principles adopted in the design included the contrast between static and dynamic figures (Yin and Yang).

The building’s curved shape and dynamic appearance add a sense of movement and modernity to the city’s skyline. The Dancehouse is a dance studio and small theatre space that was created in 2012 for fine and performing artists. Originally, The Dancehouse was formed out of a warehouse in the East Village area of downtown, San Diego, solely to fulfill the need of more consistent, convenient, and affordable rehearsal space.

Almost every time we pass on the tram, there’s at least one person posing for a photo, pretending to hold up the tottering edifice, and this always makes us smile. That said, we still look out for it every time, especially if it’s evening time, when it looks fantastic in the late sunlight. There are also plenty of things to see if you walk around the immediate vicinity of the Dancing House. The Dancing House is just 3 stops (5 minutes) from Staroměstská, the main tram (and Metro) stop for Old Town Prague and the Old Town Square, on Prague tram 17. You could stop by for a coffee on the ground floor at the Dancing House Café, which also has a small breakfast and daytime menu and cakes.

But at the same time, it turned out that – as chance would have it – one of the leading representatives of the bank was a friend of Vlado Milunić and liked his project. All the above mentioned factors, together with the company’s wish to have an internationally renowned architect working on the building’s design, resulted in a compromise. Frank Gehry, a famous Canadian-born American postmodernist architect, was invited to co-operate with Milunić. Together they created a design combining the original idea with a new outlook. They created the “Dancing House”, as we see it at the Rašín Embankment today.

The glass tower (Ginger)

People criticized the unusual design of the building, claiming that it did not fit the texture of this area. However, Václav Havel, the first president of the Czech Republic, gave his support to the project. Today the Dancing House is seen as one of the symbolic structures of Prague. Also, it is known as Drunk House as well because of its dynamic inclined form.

The Czech Republic’s capital city is packed with interesting places to see, especially from the city’s rich historical past. The Prague Dancing House is one such structure, seamlessly blending parts static and dynamic elements. The building’s original idea was inspired by the dance of the legendary on-screen couple Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers, and has a striking resemblance to both of them. It was designed to symbolize the transition of Czechoslovakia from a communist regime to a parliamentary democracy, encapsulating ten centuries of architectural evolution within its unique and contemporary design. The Dutch insurance company Nationale-Nederlanden (ING Bank from 1991 to 2016) agreed to sponsor the construction of a house onsite. The superbank chose Milunić as the lead designer and asked him to partner with another world-renowned architect to approach the process.

During the Second World War, an American bomb destroyed the house which was originally where the Dancing House now stands. We are a group of local Prague citizens who love to travel around the world, so we know what is it like to be in a foreign city. There is of course no entrance fee to the building itself, and the building is open daily from 10 a.m.

The Dancing House earned its nickname due to its unique design, which resembles a pair of dancers. The building’s curved metal structure, which connects the two towers, gives the illusion of movement, as if the dancers are twirling and dancing together. This playful and dynamic design led to the building being affectionately referred to as the Dancing House. The construction of the Dancing House began in 1994 and was completed in 1996. The building faced numerous challenges during its construction, including opposition from local residents and preservationists who believed that the modern design clashed with the historic architecture of Prague.

Yet another public space of the Dancing House is the Dancing House Gallery. Located on the ground floor, the Gallery focuses mainly on the top of the contemporary world and Czech art. The entrance fees to the Dancing House Gallery differ based on the particular exhibitions. You should definitely visit the Dancing House for the fact, among other things, that this unmistakable gem of Prague’s postmodern architecture also offers a rare view of the Vltava River and Prague Castle. There was also a great dispute about the highly unusual shape of the building, with the impression of the towers leaning. However, the Dancing House proved itself to be a true architectural gem of Prague, and today you would be hard pressed to find anyone who doesn’t like or at least accept it.

Heartbeat House invites you to connect with your body and your community. Explore new movement modalities, develop a restorative regimen, challenge yourself with our fitness classes, and find release through dance. The curved form of the building can feel inside of the Dancing House as well. Inclined columns, metal supports and wavy walls remind visitors what a unique building they are in. The relationship between glass structure and brut structure is also representative of the relationship between Yin and Yang. Furthermore, there is a metal structure called Medusa on the roof and under the Medusa, there is a skylight.

Critics said the building is not compatible with the city’s historic fabric. Nevertheless, today it is accepted as one of the iconic buildings of Prague. The buildings, with a surface of 5842m², were constructed in steel, glass and prefabricated concrete panels, finished with plaster characteristic of the local architecture. Dancing House (or Dancing Building) is one of the Prague's most notorious tourist spots. We recommended stopping by on your way to some other spot as it's located next to the Vltava river and a few steps from the Charles Bridge. If you like views make sure to go to the restaurant Ginger & Fred and have a cocktail while enjoying the beautiful view from the rooftop terrace.

The French architect Jean Nouvel turned down the idea because of the small square footage, but the Canadian-American architect Frank Gehry accepted the invitation. The Dutch insurance company Nationale-Nederlanden (since 1991 ING Bank) agreed to sponsor the building of a house on site. The "super bank" chose Milunic as the lead designer and asked him to partner with another world-renowned architect to approach the process.

Bar is slightly more casual, so you can easily walk up from the streets. It’s recommended to book in advance and to arrive appropriately dressed in smart or smart casual style. The restaurant is a fancy affair and the food on the menu does look very tempting. The prices are unfortunately out of my budget (1500 KCZ for a tasting set menu – every day from 5 pm or lunch menu from 150 KCZ for starters and 300 KCZ for mains), so I’ve never had the pleasure to try the food there. The Dancing House building was originally named (officially or not…) Fred & Ginger, but later the name become the Dancing House, which is the one used now.

The concrete part symbolises the implacable nature of the Communist regime, while the glass part suggests movement and change. The rooftop terrace – with views along the Vltava river and Prague Castle – is one of the best viewpoints in Prague, accessible for the reasonable price of a beer. The Dancing House in Prague regularly holds exhibitions in its gallery. The Dancing House hosts exhibitions of artists, painters, photographers as well as “retro” exhibitions. The loved-up dance is actually happening to a rather tragic song -- 'cause it sounds like Jelly Roll's "Save Me," which is all about him telling people in his life to get away because he's a broken man. Not the typical song to get one in the mood, but to each their own we suppose.

The building’s unique design presented numerous challenges, including the need for custom-made materials and innovative construction techniques. The glass tower, in particular, required the use of specially designed glass panels to achieve the desired curved shape. The unusually shaped building, an example of the deconstructivist architectural style, is based on a reinforced concrete construction with 99 differently shaped adjoined facade panels. On the top of the Dancing House, there is a dome, called “Medusa” for its shape.
